Abstract

1,224,898. Austenitic steels. UGINE KUHLMANN. June 7, 1968 [June 7, 1967], No.27294/68. Heading C7A. A stainless austenitic steel consists, by weight, of and is subjected to work-hardening when hot followed by cooling so as to bring the metal to ambient temperature while retaining the crystal structure resultant upon the hardening. The steel may be used to form superheater tubes, valves for I.C. engines and turbine parts.
