A fuel-charging device for use at the lower end of a charging shoot of a furnace comprises a plurality of feed rams 2, 2a reciprocable on fixed members 3, 4 which are supported on fixed rails 7. The feed rams and fixed members are arranged one above another in steplike manner and each is disposed so as to be inclined upwardly in the direction of the furnace combustion chamber 6.
