1,219,269. Sintering process. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd. 10 Dec., 1968 [12 [Dec., 1967], No. 56434/67. Heading C1A. [Also in Division F4] Aggregate material is produced by sintering, wherein raw material is heated on a travelling conveyer by combustion of solid fuel mixed with the said raw material, and the off gases resulting from the heating process are passed through a bed of hot divided material by which the off-gases are heated and volatile matter in the gases is burnt. All or part of the off-gases pass through the hot divided material, which is preferably the sintered material, the rest of the off-gases being added to that part of the offgases which have passed through the hot divided material.
