Abstract

122,353. Bloxam, A. G., (Nall Separator & Elevators Co.). June 5, 1918. Pneumatic elevators.-A fan 5 draws the grain &c. through a separating chamber 9 and a driven device, such as a paddle wheel 11, conveys the grain &c. into the path of the air discharged from the fan 5 by the tube 7 and the port 14 to the delivery pipe 17. The worm wheel 13 on the paddle wheel shaft 12 is keyed to the shaft by a soft-metal pin which shears when necessary. The shaft 22 is driven by the belt 30, and the fan 5 is driven by a belt 27 from the pulley 26.
