The pouring-outlet of the can is adapted to be sealed by a wire 12, which passes through a hole in a finger-piece 6 of the plug 5, then through a hole 13 in the spout 1, and finally through a loop 14 secured to the top of the can, the ends of the wire 12 being secured by a seal 15.
