Abstract

1,222,555. Air heating or cooling apparatus. AFOS Ltd. 6 March, 1969 [9 March, 1968], No. 11616/68. Heading F4S. An air heating or cooling apparatus comprises two casings 10, 22 adapted to be secured together in any of a number of alternative relative positions, the first casing 10 having air inlet and outlet openings 18, 20, a heat exchanger 12, e.g. utilizing hot water and a fan 14 for driving incoming air over the heat exchanger to the air outlet and the second casing 22 housing a heat source or cooling unit 24 to supply heat to or remove heat from the heat exchanger. An air filter 16 may be mounted in the casing 18 and the positions of the air inlet and outlet openings may be determined by the position of blanking plates. The casings may be secured by bolting or spot welding and a third casing for use as an air inlet duct is securable to the first casing at any desired position.
