Abstract

1,222,058. Reversible ploughs. V. LEMKEN [trading as PFLUGFABRIK LEMKEN K.G.]. 2 April, 1969 [9 April, 1968; 20th April, 1968], No. 17198/69. Heading A1B. A rotating device for a half turn plough comprises a plough front chassis 1, a turning shaft 2, a hydraulic cylinder 9 connected to a lever 6 which engages a slot 5 in the turning shaft crank 4 by means of a peg 8. The slot 5 has a widened portion 5a of which different embodiments are illustrated in Figs. 5, 6 and 7 (not shown). The centre of gravity S of the rotatable plough frame (not shown) is arranged to one side of the turning shaft and in a mounted plough falls at the beginning of the rotation whereas in a semi-mounted plough it is lifted. In a further embodiment especially for use with semi-mounted ploughs the slot 5 has the shape of an ellipse. A tension spring 19 is arranged to support the motion of the crank 4 when the centre of gravity S is situated in the vicinity of the shaft 2 and adjustable stops 15 and 16 are provided to limit the motion of the crank. In an embodiment, Fig. 16, a barrier block is interposed between the pressure fluid conduits 13 and 14 to prevent the fluid in the cylinder 9 from returning. Pressure fluid may be selectively pumped through conduits 13 or 14 whereupon the slide block 29 opens the opposite non return valve 34, 35 and the piston 11<SP>1</SP> is driven along the cylinder accordingly.
