Abstract

1462352 Mounting tools in chisel ploughs J GERMANY 11 Feb 1974 [15 Nov 1972] 52831/72 Heading A1B A soil-cultivating tine 12 is mounted on a support frame 10 and is held in its working position by a tension spring 30 acting through a stop member 24 pivoted on a pin 26. When an excessive load is applied, the tine is released and pivots about the pin 14. Another embodiment uses a compression spring and in both the spring is adjustable to vary the force required to displace the tine. The stop member 24 is shaped at 27 so that the tine can be forced back into its working position. As an additional safety device a standard shear pin 34 may be provided.
