Abstract

1,220,683. Folding tents. G. A. EARL. 4 April, 1968 [5 April, 1967; 30 June, 1967], Nos. 15589/67 and 30400/67. Heading E1A. A folding ridge-type tent adapted to be supported by two removable poles engaged in opposed sockets in the ridge and having one roof panel 21 adapted to be attached to a wall or vehicle is constructed from a single fabric shaped to define panels 20-26 foldable about the parallel fold lines shown and then rolled up. The panels 24, 26 and 23, 25 are respectively fastened to-gether in the erected position and the tent held rigid by a suitable arrangement of guy ropes and pegs. The tent is also provided with strengthening battens 27, 28, 29, attachment clamps 44, 45 and tapes or press studs 30-43.
