Abstract
1,220,516. Agricultural implements. B. BURGESS, E. BURGESS and E. E. COZENS [trading as BEN BURGESS & CO.]. 11 Aug., 1969 [26 June, 1968], No. 30614/68. Heading A1B and A1D. A combined cultivator and distributer comprises transverse crushing and levelling elements 12, 13 between which is mounted, on a frame 11 attachable to the three point linkage of a tractor, at least one set of tines 19, a hopper 26 having a metering device being mounted on the framework with the delivery shoot 27, 28 behind the first set of elements 19. Three sets 19, 20, 21 of laterally staggered spring tines may be provided on the frame 11, with vertically adjustable crushing and levelling planks 12, 13, 14 in front of each set. A further set 23 of tines of lighter construction may be mounted at the rear of the frame so as to be freely pivotable within limits. The hopper 26 may have compartments for seed and fertilizer, each with its own metering device driven by a spider wheel 29.
