Abstract

In a vehicle boot fastening, the lock barrel 4 is carried in a lock body 4'having an integral supporting bracket 1 secured through a mounting plate 2, 15 to the rear panel of the lid at 14. The parts 1 and 2 are secured together by rivets, and the latch bolt 7 which is pivoted between them, engages a striking pin 9. It is released by an eccentric follower 13 on an extension 12 of the lock barrel. The lock body projects outwardly from the boot lid through a grommet 19.
