Abstract

1,215,479. Coated metal foil. POLITECHNIKA SLASKA. 29 Dec., 1967 [29 Dec., 1966], No. 59168/67. Heading B2E. A method of manufacturing laminated sheets for electrical devices comprises applying to the surface of a metal foil a solution of a polyester resin based on terephthalic or isophthalic acid and a condensed ring polynaphthol so as to form a coating which is selfadherent to said surface. The applied solution is preferably heated to a temperature of 100‹-300‹C. after drying at room temperature. The metal foil is preferably copper or aluminium. The polyester resin solution may be applied in successive stages until the laminate has a desired thickness which is less than 0.5 mm.
