Abstract
840,305. Moulds adapted for high-frequency heating. WINTER, W. Dec.16, 1958 [Aug. 6, 1958], No. 40559/58. Class 87(2). The operative surfaces of the male and female members of a non-metallic mould are coated with an electrically conductive paint so that they may form electrodes for applying a highfrequency electric field to heat the material being moulded. Coatings 2 and 7 of conductive paint are sprayed on to the operative surfaces of mould members 1 and 6 respectively and electric leads 3, 8 are attached, to these coatings. Layers of cardboard having an adhesive thereon which hardens in a high frequency field are then moulded : they act as a dielectric between coatings 2, 7.
