Abstract

1,215,260. Spray producers. HANS SCHWARZKOPF. 3 March, 1969 [6 March, 1968], No. 11166/69. Heading B2F. A nozzle assembly comprises an elongated tubular nozzle 7 having a base 6 maintained on container 1 by an annular resilient collar 3 having a downwardly depending skirt adapted resiliently to clamp the base of the nozzle into direct or indirect seating engagement with the rim 2 of the container, the base having a passageway 8 communicating with the bore of the nozzle, the outer end of the passageway being normally sealed from the interior of the container by the seal formed between the base of the nozzle and the rim of the container, but being exposed to the interior of the container by tilting the nozzle relative to the container against the resilience of the skirt. A flexible sealing washer 5 may be inserted between the base of the nozzle and the rim, and the nozzle made of hard plastics material. The passageway 8 may be a tapered lateral duct.
