Abstract

The plastics cap is designed for sealing bottles, it is used particularly for bottles made of plastics material and it comprises a bowl portion which can be rounded, with a ring at the top whose lower part forms a collar resting on the edge of the mouth of the bottle. The flat lower face of the collar is extended by that of a thin tongue (8). The design appreciably increases the tightness of the sealing, by preventing the collar from penetrating into the bottle neck and distorting the top part of the latter.
