Abstract
1,215,126. Liquid fuel burners. H. GRABNER. 30 Jan., 1969 [1 Feb., 1968], No. 5099/69. Heading F4T. Burner fuel supply apparatus in which liquid fuel is supplied from a tank to a burner nozzle through a delivery conduit 6 containing a pump, includes a return flow conduit 2 for excess fuel from the burner, the return flow conduit discharging into a collecting container 1, and a shut-off valve 3 controls a flow of fuel from the collecting container 1 to the delivery conduit 6 in accordance with the quantity of fuel in the collecting container. The valve may be mechanically operated by a float 4 and rod 5, as illustrated, or an electromagnetic valve may be operated by a float-controlled switch or electrical level switches. When opening the passage out of the collecting container, the valve may also simultaneously shut off the flow from the main fuel tank.
