Abstract

1,213,856. Electric bells. FERNMELDEWERK NORDHAUSEN VEB. 5 March, 1968, No. 10724/68. Heading G5J. A polarized electro-magnetic bell has an armature 5, with clapper 6 attached, on a hinge pin 7 at right-angles, with two permanent magnets 2, riveted to a bearing plate 1 and a yoke 4 by tubular rivets 3 which also act as stops 11, symmetrically arranged on either side. Two laterally-spaced tongues 9 extend from the armature, into which a countersunk screw 8 can be inserted; on tightening, the armature and tongues are pressed against the hinge pin, and the armatures can be bent by the interposition of spacers (not shown) at the stop pins, by an amount determined by the thickness of the spacers. On removal of the spacers, the armature is firmly connected to the hinge pin, and the desired working gap obtained.
