Abstract

1,211,552. Moulding footwear. CLARKS Ltd. 18 Jan., 1968 [19 Jan., 1967], No. 2988/67. Heading B5A. A mould for making a moulded on sole comprises a one piece mould 1 around the cavity of which is disposed a detachable or movable knife edge 3. The knife edge 3 may be a one piece member of flexible elastomeric material, there being a complementary projection and groove in the knife edge and mould. The knife edge may be rigid and comprise two parts which abut at the heel and toe regions of the mould. Each part of the knife edge may slide on the mould upper surface in slideway 12a, Fig. 5, or angle slots in the mould may receive co-operating projections.
