Abstract

1,210,877. Electric correspondence control systems. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. March 21, 1968 [March 22, 1967], No.13629/68. Heading G1N. In a hydraulic press the instantaneous displacement of the upper and lower press heads are automatically maintained at a preset ratio. As shown, displacement of the upper press head 11 by pressure chamber 25 is measured by potentiometer 18, and displacement of the lower press head 12 by hydraulic rams 17 is measured by potentiometer 19. The former signal is divided at potentiometer 20 in the desired ratio and compared in amplifier 21 with the latter signal, any difference being used to modify the hydraulic pressure on rams 17 adjusting the displacement of the lower press head 12 until the input to amplifier 21 is zero. The displacement ratio may be varied during the pressing operation.
