Abstract
1,203,945. Stoppers for non-refillable bottles. W. WARSAWSKY. 7 Sept., 1967 [7 Sept., 1966], No. 40851/67. Heading B8D. A pouring stopper for a non-refillable bottle has a valve coacting with a guide during its movements between its shut and open &c. positions. In one form, a valve disc 6a, Fig. 1, prevents refilling of a bottle 7 through a hole 2 in the bottom of a pouring stopper 1a. When the bottle is inverted, the valve disc 6a slides along a guide pin 5, and liquid is poured-out through holes 4, 11. The pouring stopper 1a is held on the bottle by a metal ring 10. In another form, a pouring stopper 1b, Fig. 2, contains a cylindrical valve 6b which, when the bottle is inverted, slides along guide fins 14 to allow egress of liquid. The stopper has a flange 12 forced into a groove 13 in the bottle neck. In a modification, the mouth of the bottle widens inwardly to form a ledge (16), Fig. 3 (not shown), receiving a flange (15) on the stopper.
