Abstract

1,203,658. Ventilators. PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN N.V. 4 Sept., 1967 [7 Sept., 1966], No. 40346/67. Heading F4V. To enable the flow pattern of air delivered from a ventilation system to be adjusted outlets 8, 9 are slidable with respect to one another in the wall of a duct 5. In one extreme position the flow from each outlet is directed between the outlets in the other row, in the other extreme position the outlets are opposite one another and there is maximum interference of the two air flows. Slides 6, 7 may alternatively take the form of circular rods so that by twisting each rod the initial inclination of the jet can be adjusted. The longitudinal movement of the rows of outlets can be manual or effected automatically by a temperature control device. The duct could be the space above a false ceiling and each row of outlets could be circular or curved instead of straight.
