Abstract

1,043,476. Ventilators. ALLIED THERMAL CORPORATION. May 12, 1965 [June 5, 1964], No. 20138/65. Heading F4V. The deflecting element of a slot diffuser comprises a cylinder 50 having tabs extending axially from its circumference and engaging holes such as 48 in vertical walls to allow rotation with respect to such holes. The described diffuser includes two deflector elements each covering approximately half the slot length and being independently adjustable. The tabs of adjacent deflector ends are accommodated in holes in a U-shaped member 35 which has a spring action to retain the deflectors in a desired position. Air flow to the diffuser is controlled by a manually operated damper 43. Preferred dimensions are disclosed.
