Abstract
1,203,587. Boilers in solid fuel stoves. ALLIED IRONFOUNDERS Ltd. 29 Nov., 1968 [15 Nov., 1967], No. 51941/67. Heading F4W. The back wall 11 and top wall 12 of the combustion space of a solid fuel fired heating unit are formed as a boiler unit 15 through which extends a waste gas flue 16. The boiler unit may have the rear part 10b of the side walls formed integrally with the top and back, and forming part of the boiler. The part of the side walls not forming a water space is lined with firebrick. Ribs 19 may be formed on the back and top walls. A baffle plate 20, which may be manually adjusted, extends from near the rear wall 11 forwardly so that combustion gases flowing round the plate 20 contact the top part of the back unit on their way to the flue outlet 16.
