Abstract

1,202,409. Electrolytic development. FUJI SHASHIN FILM K.K. Dec.7, 1967 [Dec.7, 1966], No. 55659/67. Heading G2H. In the electrolytic development of an exposed photo-conductive material a layer of a dispersion of a pigment in an animal or vegetable fatty oil including tallow and lard is applied to the surface of the photo-conductive layer either before or after exposure but before immersion in the electrolytic bath. The electrolyte for the bath may be sodium chloride, ammonium chloride an acid or alkali. Specified pigments are phthalocyanine blue, red iron oxide, para red, piano blue, titanium dioxide, carbon, ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow, azo, quinoline, anthraquinone and triphenylmethane dyes. The support for the photo-conductive layer may be paper containing fine metallic filaments or paper containing glass fibres on which metal has been deposited.
