Electric lamp signals; lamp-group code signals. -A signalling device for calling individual employees in factories and for like uses has a number of lamps 4 in compartments of a casing 1, the back and front of each compartment being of coloured glass or adapted to exhibit letters, figures, or other characters. The various compartments have glasses of different colours. Similar devices are placed in the different rooms &c. of the factory, and the same signal is given simultaneously by all the devices under control from a central switchboard which may have tell-tale lights. The lamps may be lighted singly or in various combinations. Each lamp gives at will either a continuous light, or, by including a rotary make-and-break device in circuit, an intermittent light, thus increasing the number of pre-arranged signals which may be made by a given number of lamps.
