Abstract

A concrete preparation plant comprising a hopper 4 for cement, a weighing container 6 having compartments, conveyers 5, 8 for supplying cement and aggregate to the container 6 and a conveyer (7) Fig. 2, (not shown) for delivering the weighed cement and aggregate from the container 6 is characterized in that the hopper 4 is removably supported on a framework 1 and is arranged to be moved by a screw device 14 from a horizontal inoperative position Fig. 4 to a vertical operative position on the framework 1 and vice versa. The plant may be automatically or manually controlled and when in operation aggregates are directed to the weighing container 6 by means of one or more conveyers 8 which may comprise a plurality of pick-up buckets until a predetermined amount is in the container. The or each conveyer 8 is then rendered inoperative and the conveyer 5 is actuated to direct cement from the hopper 4 to the container 6 until a predetermined amount has been supplied thereto. The conveyer 7 is then actuated to discharge the container 6. The framework 1 may be provided with a link 16 which is connectable to the hopper 4, the screw device 14 being connectable by fastenings 15 to the hopper.
