Abstract

1,195,889. Cladding panel. RICHARD THOMAS & BALDWINS Ltd. 12 Feb., 1969 [12 Nov., 1967], No. 41528/67. Heading B5N. [Also in Division E1] A cladding panel 1 comprising a front skin 4 of coloured plastisol coated galvanized steel which is slightly profiled in the vertical direction having a laterally projecting flange 7, a flexible back skin 5 of paper or plastics and a filling of polyurethane foam 6 is secured to studs 2 of a steel framework by means of self tapping screws 8 which pass through a plate 9 and jointing strip 10, between which the flanges 7 are clamped. The joint is covered by a panel 12 constructed of the same materials as panel 1 but having the edges of the metal skin 13 bent to form flanges 16 which snap fit with flanges 17 of jointing strip 10.
