Abstract

1,195,282. Obturator wads. FEDERAL CARTRIDGE CORP. 31 May, 1967 [24 June, 1966; 10 May, 1967], No. 4393/70. Addition to 1,195,281. Heading F3A. An obturator wad for use in a shotgun cartridge comprises an obturating member and an integral tubular member which can be rolled back to adjust the length of the wad, the maximum exterior diameter of the rolled back portion not exceeding the diameter of the obturator member. The particular construction of the wad is described with reference to Figs. 17, 18, 19 and 21 of Specification 1,195,281.
