Abstract

1,193,333. Started blinds. J. AVERY & CO. (BST. 1834) Ltd. 27 Sept., 1968 [16 Aug., 1967], No. 37665/67. Heading E1J. A venetian type blind permanently in the lowered position has top and bottom rails 12, pivotally mounted in a frame 11 which carries and spaces the panes of a double glazed unit, pivotal movement of the rails 12, 13 provide, by tape connections to the intermediate slats 14, angular adjustment of the slats is effected by a hand wheel 19 which extends out from both sides of the unit and is connected directly to the pivot of the top or bottom rail 12, 13 may be, through reduction gearing. The assembly may be mounted in a wooden surround by e.g. pins 25.
