Abstract

1,190,702. Sun visors. HAPPICH G.m.b.H. GEB. 10 Jan., 1968 [10 Jan., 1967], No. 1502/68. Heading B7J. A padded sun visor 1 comprises a frame 2 including parts 3, 4, 5, 6 and 12, which is inserted into a continuous plastics casing 15 through a charge aperture 16 therein by being resiliently deformed, wherein the casing 15 is then placed in a mould and filled with a resilient padding by foaming in situ a liquid fed into the casing through the aperture 16. The frame comprises a resilient rod 3 (or rods) integral with resilient struts 4, 5 and 6 engaging respectively in a socket 11 in a support member 12 frictionally rotatable on a support arm 17; in a resilient catch 10 integral with the support member 12; and by a resilient catch 7 engaging around a reduced portion 18 of the support arm 17; and the support member 12 has a clamping strap 24 secured to it by a screw 23 and adjustably gripping the arm 17. The reduced portion 18 is inserted into a tubular part 15<SP>1</SP> of the casing 15. The charge aperture 61 is closed by a resilient lid 19 secured to the support member 12 by registering snap-action means 20, 21, 22 and by the screw 23.
