840,255. Collapsible vehicles. HAYDEN, L. G. Feb. 3, 1959 [June 26, 1958], No. 20484/58. Class 108(1) An extensible roof device for fitting to an aperture in a vehicle roof comprises a frame 7 to the sides and ends of which are hinged panels 8, 9 at 8a and 9a respectively. The upper edges of the end panels 9 are provided with guide rods 18 which engage in guides 19 formed in the roof part 10 and when the panels 9 are erect they are maintained in position by the slots 19b at the ends of the guides 19. The side panels 8 are retained by fasteners 25. The roof 10 is shaped on its lower edges to conform to the vehicle roof.
