Abstract

1,188,335. Mixing flowing fluids proportionately. CHEMIE-UND FILTER G.m.b.H. 14 June, 1967, No. 27390/67. Heading B1C. A proportionate dissolver comprises a main liquid flow 10 with a pressure-difference restriction 11 by-passed through a detachable container 2 by way of bore 3, pipe 14, porous body 7, chamber 17 and bore 4; solid to be dissolved is retained behind screen 12. Part of the by-pass flow may be returned to the main flow via pipe 15, needle valve 9 and bore 4 without passing through chamber 17, further to dilute the additive solution. The porous body 7 may be of sintered material of pore diameter 1 to 1,000 microns; it is stated that if the pipes 14, 15 be flexible and the weight of the chamber 6 suitably adjusted it will automatically take up a level at which a pre-determined concentration of solution is present.
