Abstract

1,186,055. Containers. L. DRECHSLER and F. ZANDELL. 26 Sept., 1967, No. 43847/67. Heading B8P. A releasable container 121 is formed with a top wall comprising a pair of inner and outer layers 137, 136 respectively adhesively secured together, there being a pair of retaining lips 140, 141 projecting from the top layer, a tab 142 forming part of a closure 158 openable by severing lines 147, 148 for swinging out of the plane of the top wall about hinge 149 is provided with wings 143, 144 for movement into and out of retaining engagement beneath the retaining lips for holding the closure shut. As shown the inner portion 153 underlying the closure 158 is unsecured thereto and is provided with severance lines 154 for removal of the portion to form an opening. In a modification part of the underlying portion is secured to the closure so that removal of the closure causes removal of part of the underlying portion to form an opening, lines of severance being provided to enlarge the opening after the closure is opened. The underlying opening may be marked to define a token or check.
