Abstract

1,185,779. Doors for tannery drums. TANNERIES DE SIREUIL. March 29, 1968 [April 6, 1967; March 11, 1968], No. 15214/68. Heading C6C. [Also in Division F2P. In a horizontally sliding door for a tannery drum and of the kind in which, on reaching the closed position the door is given a movement towards the door aperture and perpendicular thereto to press the door against sealing strips 7 on the aperture surround 5, the pressure movement is given to the door by means of an inflatable tube 12 on the side of the door opposite the sealing strip 7 and between a movable frame 9 on which the door 8 slides on ledges 27 carried by the frame 9 and a fixed frame 10 secured on but away from the aperture surround 5, by means of rods 17, on which also the frame 9 moves against springs 19, the tube 12 being inflated when the door reaches its closed position under the control of an electric switch and control system (Fig. 3).
