Abstract

1434591 Autoclaves CHAS F THACKRAY Ltd 12 Feb 1974 [1 Feb 1973] 5049/73 Heading A5G [Also in Division B1] An autoclave e.g. for sterilization has a sliding door which is guided to slide between a position closing the autoclave chamber and a position where it covers a control panel controlling the admission of steam to the autoclave to thus prevent access to the controls. The autoclave may also have a sealing means comprising a resilient sealing strip 8, Fig. 2, which is pressed against the closed door 1 by steam fed to groove 7 prior to passage to the autoclave chamber.
