Abstract

Seal for fire protected door is of material expanding greatly on heating, for closing the gap between a frame and door etc, and comprises a section of profiled plastic with a chamber running in the lengthwise direction containing the expandible material. The profile section (10) is shaped so that the hollow portion (12) with the expandible material (14) is closed on the outside, and has a groove (22) open to the outside accommodating the foot section (28) of a lip-type sealing strip (30). The groove is separated by a wall (20) from the hollow portion.
