Abstract

118,531. Caswell, J. J. Dec. 3, 1917. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Hat-boxes and cases.-A device for carrying steel helmets consists of a back piece b of leather or canvas of the shape of the helmet, to which is secured around its edges a horse-shoe shaped strip a, thereby forming a pocket to receive from above the rim of the helmet. The upper inner corners of the strip a are connected by a strap f, which passes through a loop e to keep the helmet in place. Straps d are used to connect the carrier to the side of the saddle; or a single strap and buckle may be used as a shoulder strap. A strap c is also attached to secure the carrier to a saddle girth.
