1,182,986. Drying drum. A. T. NIELSEN. 31 May, 1968 [1 June, 1967], No. 26313/68. Heading F4G. In drying material (e.g. crops) in a drum 1, the material is carried by heated drying air blown or sucked axially through the drum to a netting 3 which retains the dried material but allows the passage of air, and the dried material is sucked from the netting by one or more suction nozzles 8 during relative movement between the nozzle(s) and netting. The drum may be rotatable and provided with vanes on its inner surface, or may be stationary and provided with rotary vanes.
