Abstract
1,181,734. Horticultural implements. SISIS EQUIPMENT (MACCLESFIELD) Ltd. 1 Nov., 1968 [3 Aug., 1967], No. 35741/67. Heading A1B. A multi-purpose horticultural appliance has a frame with sides 14, 15 and 16, a pair of ground wheels 21 joined by a stay 17, a power unit 18 driving the wheels via chains (not shown) and a chain sprocket (31), Fig. 3 (not shown), bars 24 carried by the wheels and which are free to rotate in bushes 25 and are adapted to receive turf-working implements e.g. tines 27, the tines being held in an outwardly projecting manner by springs 29, but turnable inward to be held, as shown in Fig. 4. At the rear of the appliance arms 40 with the aid of spring clips 41 to accept supplementary implements e.g. brush, spring tine rake, slitter disc, Figs. 5, 6, 7 (not shown). The rake of handle 33 can be adjusted via a cam 36 and rigid links can be connected between the handle and anchorage point 34a to override springs 34. When necessary wheels 20 can be removed and put on pins 343 for safety, Fig. 2 (not shown). The tines 27 can be replaced by tines of a different shape, Figs. 8, 9, 10 and 11 (not shown).
