Abstract

1,171,638. Chemical milling. K. VON SOËS. Nov.18, 1966 [Dec.14, 1965], No.51724/66. Addition to 1,145,891. Heading C7E. Metals, in particular iron and steel are chemically milled by treating in a mixture of concentrated sulphuric acid and/or chromosulphuric acid with H 2 O 2 , the mixture being kept below 60‹C. during the entire treatment. The time of treatment is determined by the thickness of metal to be removed and in any case is greater than the time necessary for pickling.
