Abstract
1,167,596. Dry shavers. GILLETTE CO. 24 Nov., 1967 [12 Dec., 1966], No. 53527/67. Heading B4B. In a motor-driven shaver, the area of the effective shaving surface a<SP>11</SP>, Fig. 3, is at least 40%, and preferably at least 50%, of the housing cross-section, U, the thickness of the shaver being less than 27 mm. and preferably less than 22 mm. The shaver is preferably boxshaped with flat walls. Preferably, the thickness d, Fig. 4, is between 20 and 25 mm., the breadth b between 55 and 65 mm. and the height h between 80 and 100 mm. The housing may be a plastics moulding or of a metal, e.g. stainless steel or aluminium alloy or a precious metal such as silver or gold or a base metal with precious metal plating.
