Abstract

The material consists of a copper alloy containing from 0.3% to 1.5% of chromium, from 0.10% to 0.50% of zirconium and up to 0.04% of a deoxidant. Advantageously, said alloy consists of from 0.5% to 0.8% of chromium, from 0.15% to 0.25% of zirconium and from 0.005% to 0.02% of boron as a deoxidant. In addition, the material may be age-hardened.
