Abstract

1,166,638. Electromagnetic contactors; electromagnets. LA TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE. 8 Dec., 1966 [12 Jan., 1966], No. 54949/66. Headings H1N and H1P. A rectilinearly movable armature 2 is pivotally connected to a lever 4 without play and centering levers 11, 13, 14 guide the armature to prevent deviations from a plane parallel with the pivotal axis 03, 04 of the lever 4. The lever 4 is formed of two parts joined with interfitting parts at the faces 8 with trunnions 6 for the armature pivot projecting outwards, and inward facingblind holes (7) fitting over trunnions on the contact carrier 30. The central pivotal trunnions 5 of the lever fit in holes 21e of a bearing member 21 having projections 21c fitting in slots 51a in an insulating base 51 and retained by engagement of a metal support plate 52. The levers 13, 14 are coupled by a bar 17 which may operate on push buttons of auxiliary switches. The contact carrier 30 is biased by a compression spring 54 acting between the plate 52 and a boss 30a and carries bridging contacts 56 in arc chambers 47. The armature may have side projections acting between cam surfaces on the centering levers (Fig. 2, not shown).
