[Also in Divisions E2 and H2] In a blower assembly the driving motor 20 is releasably mounted in the blower housing 12 by a support bracket 24. The latter comprises a cradle member 52 surrounding a cushion member 48 mounted on a boss 44 of the motor casing. The member 52 may be connected to a solid flanged cylindrical member but, as shown, is preferably connected to a number of angularlyspaced L-shaped arms 54 secured to the blower housing. The support bracket additionally comprises a spider 58 having a number of angularlyspaced legs 60 each provided with a tab 102 for locking engagement with a respective slot 90 in an associated arm 54. Each leg 60 includes an arcuate portion 108 partially surrounding a cushion member 50 mounted on a boss 46 of the motor casing. These arcuate portions are clamped together to form a band which grips the cushion member 50, and each includes a projection 110 having an end surface 112 which abuts an end surface 114 of the cushion member 50. The members 48, 50 may be of rubber or like material to absorb motor and impeller vibration. The arms 54 are of channel section and are each welded at one end over a respective radial projection 74 on the periphery of the cradle member or, for motors of smaller diameter, are each located at one end within a respective aperture at the periphery of the cradle member.
