Abstract

1,162,508. Elevated floors. LISKEY ALU MlNUM Inc. 30 June, 1967 [1 Sept., 1966], No. 30357/67. Heading E1W. A floor panel assembly for an elevated floor system comprises a panel 50, an edge of which is shown inverted in Fig. 6, and a supporting pedestal 20, the panel 50 including a tread surface 52, an intermediate flat steel sheet 54 and a bottom plate 56 formed of undulations having interconnected alternate raised and lowered horizontal portions, the raised portions being secured to the sheet 54, to which the peripheral portion of the plate 56 is also secured. An L-shaped bar has a vertical leg 63 and a horizontal leg 62 which is sandwiched 'between the peripheral portions of the sheet 54 and plate 56, the vertical leg 63 being an outer side of the panel 50 which is supported on a vertically adjustable cap 22. The cap 22 has vertical projections 24, one being received in a corner of the panel 50. A channeled stringer 40 to support one panel edge may be supported by the pedestal 20 having arms 26 with channels 28 within each of which opposing protuberances 29 are formed. The pedestal is made up from a screw-threaded bolt 34 having a nut 36 locked by a base clamp 38 and supporting the cap 22.
