1,162,174. Alloy steel rails. KLOCKNERWERKE A.G. Sept. 30, 1966 [Oct. 2, 1965 ; Sept. 1 1966], No.43769/66. Heading C7A. A rail is made of an alloy steel with a sorbitic / troostitic structure and consisting of:- Cr 0À5 - 1À75% Ni 0À25- 1À5% Mo 0À1 - 0À75% V 0À05- 0À5% Ti 0 - 0À4% the balance, apart from incidental elements and impurities, being iron. Incidental elements which may be present are:- Al 0À005 - 0À1% B 0À005 - 0À5% Co 0À1 - 2% N 0À001 - 0À1% Nb 0À005 - 0À5% Ta 0À005 - 0À5% W 0À05 - 2% After hot shaping by rolling, pressing or drawing, the rail is cooled from the hot shaping final temperature, in the range 800‹ to 450‹ C., so that the -γ/a transformation occurs in the range of the lower pearlite stage.
