Abstract

1,157,027. Awning type roller blinds. G. HALL & 'CO. Ltd. 18 April, 1968 [1 Feb., 1967], No. 4816/67. Heading E1J. . In a roller blind of the awning type wherein the rolled up blind together with articulated laterally pivoting supporting arms is housed in a blind box when the blind is rolled up and is closed at its front side by a lath attached to the free edge of the blind, there are included support anchor plates 11 for each trunnion block 12 each mounting a supporting arm 5, the plates 11 being pivoted on a horizontal pin 7, and an arm 13 extending from each plate 11 to support the adjacent end of the roller 2. Stop means such as screw 16 limits (in adjustable positions by means of holes 18 and pin in plate 17) the pivotable movement of the plate 11 when the blind is extended, the movement being caused by the weight of the extended arms and blind and when the blind is rolled up, the weight is so distributed about the pivot 7 as to cause the plate 11 to tilt in the opposite direction to dispose the lath vertically to close the blind box. The position of the roller 2 may be adjusted in one of three positions by a series of coinciding holes 14 in the roller bracket 15 and arm 13.
