Abstract

1,209,122. Window opening apparatus. VEREINIGTE BAUBESCHLAGFABRIKEN GRETSCH & CO. G.m.b.H. 19 Jan., 1968 [24 Jan., 1967], No. 3085/68. Headings E2F and E2M. A window, door &c has a fixed frame 10 and a movable frame 11 which is capable of being tilted about a horizontal axis adjacent the lower edge of the fixed frame, pivoted about a vertical axis and lifted and lowered with respect to fixed frame 10. The frames are connected by means of a deflector member having an arm 12 pivotally mounted to movable frame 11 at 26, and a hinge part 15 rigidly connected to arm 12 and pivotally mounted on hinge 18 carried by frame 10. Hinge part 15 has a recess 22 for receiving a pin 20 attached to the edge of frame 10, in the raised position so as to prevent tilting of the frame 11 but allow pivoting about the vertical axis. The frame 11 may be moved downwardly to disengage the pin 20 and recess 22 to allow tilting of the frame 11.
