ADJUSTABLE WINDOW SHADE ROLLER BRACKET Filed Aug. 15, 1936 4 go 620F266 lm i't'kfill,
ATTORNEYS Patented Sept. 28, 1937 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE ADJUSTABLE WINDOW SHADE ROLLER BRACKET 1 Claim.
This invention relates to window shade brackets or mountings and has for the primary object the provision of an efficient and inexpensive device of this character which when secured to a window casement may be adjusted vertically, longitudinally and horizontally with respect to said window casement to permit a shade carried thereby to be properly located with respect to the window and the securing of the bracket and mounting to the Window casement without having to make specific measurements.
With these and other objects in View, this invention consists in certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.
For a complete understanding of my invention, reference is to be had to the following description and accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 is a fragmentary front elevation illustrating a shade roller supported by a bracket or mounting constructed in accordance with my in- Vention.
Figure 2 is a fragmentary top plan view illustrating the same. I
Figure 3 is an end elevation illustrating the device. 7
Figure 4 is a fragmentary longitudinal sectional View showing the means for permitting the horizontal and longitudinal adjustment of the device.
Figure 5 is a plan view illustrating a reversible shade roller attaching plate.
Figure 6 is a fragmentary vertical sectional view showing the means for permitting vertical adjustment of the shade roller.
Referring in detail to the drawing, the numeral I indicates av bracket or attaching plate including angularly related portions 2 and 3. The portion 2 has openings to receive screws or like fasteners 4 for mounting the bracket to a window casement or frame which positions the portion 3 horizontally. Said portion 3 is bifurcated, as shown at 5, to receive a bolt 6. The
The arm I i is constructed of a single length of material bent upon itself to form the angularly related portions l2 and I3.
Having described the invention, I claim:
A window shade mounting comprising a bracket including an attaching portion and a supporting portion arranged at right angles to the attaching portion, an arm adjustably connected to the supporting portion and capable of being adjusted horizontally and longitudinally thereof,
These said arm including angularly related portions,
one of which being mounted on the supporting portion of the bracket and the other portion being disposed vertically, clamping plates adjustable on the vertical portion of the arm, a bolt connecting the clamping plates, and a plate formed on said bolt and having an opening and a slot whereby either end of the shade roller may be adapted thereto.
