1,154,910. Bituminous compositions. LIMEHOUSE PAPERBOARD MILLS Ltd., L. HOAD, S. C. CRONAN and R. H. NELSON. 20 June, 1966, No. 27441/66. Addition to 1,068,516. Heading C3N. A composition comprises coal-tar of 30-60‹ C. e.v.t. and 1-30% wt. of one or more of polystyrene, polymethyl, methacrylate, polyvinyl chloride, and butadiene-styrene copolymer, and does not contain fibrous fillers. The composition may comprise a non-fibrous filler, e.g. 10-50% wt., based on total composition, of slate dust or particulate limestone, preferably passing 200 mesh B.S. sieve. Flux oil, e.g. anthracene, creosote oil, or " aromatic extract " may be added. The composition is prepared by mixing the polymer, which may have been mixed with the flux oil, with the liquefied coaltar. The composition is used as a binder for surface dressings.
